New research: Zoloft against lung disease

Recently made study may be revolutionary and help people to treat lung disease with the help of Zoloft. It has been found one paper, in which has been made an attempt to treat lung disease using sertraline (5 patients diagnosed with bronchial asthma and 2 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). 4 of 7 patients did not suffer from depression or anxiety. They all received primary treatment: steroids, bronchodilators and theophylline.

After Zoloft was added to the basic therapy, it has been noted improvement in 6 patients. This is primarily manifested in the reduction of breathlessness. The authors suggest that subjective feelings of improvement associated with possible relief from symptoms of anxiety or due to direct effects on the CNS.
